SUMMER PICNIC

 

A location has been selected and reserved for the MSMA picnic. It will be held on Sunday, July 13th at the Lake Johanna / Tony Schmidt Park in Arden Hills. We have a shelter reserved that has 10 tables and will accommodate 75 people. There are restroom facilities and a play area adjacent to the shelter. A beach is across the road and about a block away if anyone has an interest in swimming.

The club will provide hot dogs, brats, buns, mustard, ketchup, chips, soft drinks and water. This will also be a “pot luck” picnic so please bring something to share if you are able. There is electrical service in the shelter if we need to use it. The picnic hours are 12:00pm until 4:00pm. However, we have the shelter from sunrise to sunset so if you want to arrive earlier or stay later to use the rest of the park facilities please do. This event is open to members, spouses or significant others, children and grandchildren. As this is a MSMA club sponsored event, no alcoholic beverages will be permitted. Also, no pets please.

We will be asking that you RSVP to either Jim or Mike so that we can get a handle on how much food and beverage we will need to purchase. The cut off date for RSVP’s will be July 6th but feel free to let us know sooner if you plan to attend.

Directions: If coming from the north, go south at the Snelling Ave. exit from I-694 to the County Road “E” exit. If coming from the south, exit from highway 36 or I-94 and go north at the Snelling Ave. exit to the County Road “E” exit. At County Road “E” head west directly to the park. Note: at the 4 way stop at Snelling Ave. & County Road “E”, the road gets a new name and becomes Lake Johanna Blvd. The shelter will be on the right hand side across the road from the boat launch
